I am walking home and I see multiple young people running out of my house including one tween maybe and I threaten to the others to hold her and call the cops but then they threaten to kill me so they flee my house and I enter my house and can see it's been left in a state that I did not leave it in. Things are missing. I try to call 911 but multiple phones fail. I can't see the buttons and I am pressing the wrong ones. Then I call 911 and I have to sit through 30 seconds of ads on the phone. Finally I reach the right 911 but I leave out the part about interacting with the perps and capturing one and threatening them because I can't trust whether that actually happened or if I was deliriously tired and made it up. I feel convinced that the house was robbed because of how it was left and I know I put things away and would not have left the house in that crazy condition or opened certain things. Then I'm inside a bar restaurant with its glass door closed right on the beach. Some of our friends are outside on the beach but sitting near the bar facing the bar for some reason and not the water. The tide creeps up and suddenly it's pooling up quickly so we warn them. I shout to all my friends in the restaurant to point at the friends outside to instruct them to turn around since they are oblivious to the flooding occurring. We are very far back on the land but the ocean does not stop. This would not happen with normal tides. Then the water creates a cavernous dip and floods quickly onto the rest of the land. Things are an emergency now but nobody is paying attention. Water is pooling at the door of the restaurant. I see our only option to not be flooded and drowned in the restaurant by water pressure or cracks in the restaurant because the water is going to rise all around the restaurant on all sides and everyone inside will be trapped to the fate of whatever the restaurant can do. I make the decision the only choice is to open the doors while the water is low enough to walk out and get to higher ground. I lead the way and yell to everyone, I Sheppard them and I even take a friend's backpack who couldn't carry it because he was ill. We climb on ladders and old pieces of metal that I think are leading to higher ground. They are definitely getting us high quickly. I don’t know where they lead to. At one point I slip down the ladder rungs. I climb back up but I am winded and fatigued. I think we are safe with how far we've gotten from the water. The dream ends.
Your dream is rich in symbolism and seems to have multiple layers, often reflecting your subconscious thoughts, emotions, and concerns. Here's an interpretation that might resonate with you:
Invasion of Your Home: Seeing people running out of your house suggests feelings of violation and insecurity. Your home, a personal space representing safety and familiarity, is disturbed. The young age of the intruders might symbolize immaturity, innocence, or an unexpected disorder in your life that is causing discomfort.
Threats and Helplessness: The threats made by the intruders and your futile attempts to successfully call 911 could reflect feelings of powerlessness and frustration. This part of the dream might symbolize situations in your life where you feel vulnerable or lack control.
Doubting Reality: Your concern over whether your memories of the incident are accurate reflects a fear of misunderstanding or misinterpreting critical situations. There may be elements of self-doubt or anxiety about reality versus perception in your waking life.
Friends Oblivious to Danger: Seeing friends unaware of the approaching tide could signify a fear that those around you are not recognizing or dealing with impending challenges. The ocean symbolizes a vast, overwhelming force, indicating emotions or situations that feel beyond control.
Rising Water: Water often symbolizes emotions or the unconscious mind. The rapidly rising tide points to overwhelming emotions or changes approaching in your life that require immediate attention.
Taking Action: Despite the chaos, you assume a leadership role, guiding everyone to safety. This part of the dream reveals your inner capabilities to take charge during crises and your instinct to protect and lead others. It symbolizes strength and courage.
Climbing to Safety: The act of climbing higher away from the flood indicates striving to escape emotional overwhelm or challenging situations. Slipping but getting back up suggests resilience and determination despite setbacks.
Resilience and Leadership: You demonstrate resourcefulness and the ability to guide others through challenges. This might reflect your real-life role as someone others look up to during difficult times.
Anxiety Over Control: Consistent themes of helplessness and struggle for control, especially with the phones and the relentless tide, suggest an underlying worry about not having a firm handle on situations.
Trust and Reality: The blending of perceived reality with doubt indicates potential concerns about trust — in your own perception, in others, or in situations.
This dream reflects underlying concerns about security, control, and the unknown. It highlights your leadership qualities and resilience despite feeling threatened by internal or external events. Consider examining areas in your life where you might feel vulnerable or out of control and recognizing your capacity to lead and protect, not just yourself, but others as well. This could help in transforming potential anxieties into strengths through understanding and proactive measures.
